I was thinking it would be really nice to have more options to filter through especially for everything outside of politics. for example; sensational/neutral, opinion/straight reporting, positive/negative framing, and even independent journalism/corporate journalism.

Best news app bar none - it pools together news stories covered by many different outlets into a single timeline, providing massive coverage of different political views, and massive variety of stories themselves. I'd suggest some improvements though - I'd like the newsletter section (or some variation of "Day's biggest stories") to be available in-app, not just on desktop. And it'd be cool to view the newsletters (or aforementioned "biggest stories") from past years, not just the current one.

Presents itself as a good way of getting objective information and bias free but their news selection and summaries, which is the only thing people read most of the time, are very much western centre right reporting. Thus majorly failing at the goal it's set for itself and misleading users. I give it two stars because sometimes it does highlight unusual and interesting news.

Hi — thanks for the response. I understand that the ads may originate from third-party publishers, but from a user’s perspective, they are still appearing inside the Ground News app experience. As a paying subscriber, that distinction isn’t meaningful when the result is a cluttered, ad-heavy reading experience. If the intended solution is to use an “external browser,” that isn’t clearly communicated or intuitive in the app.
