Have used Monty esim for the last 11 months whilst travelling around the world. With the exception of a couple of countries where it just didn't work it has been very reliable. In the cases where it didn't work they were quick to refund us. Needed technical support on a few occasions to make it work properly and their WhatsApp support has been quick and reliable. Not always the fastest connection, and sometimes only get 3g, but it has proved to be worthwhile and on the whole I would recommend.

Mixed experience with this, I have used it for trips for Mauritius and Qatar. Both times it took about a day for it to kick in and for me to be able to use data. I did like how easy it was to get in contact with customer service, one time they could solve my issues, the other time they could not but the esim somehow connected the next day. Ideally I would not have to wait so long to be able to get online so for this reason I now use a different esim provider as my first choice.

Plans are cheap but the app is very buggy. Always asks for camera permission even after I give it. Forgets your account constantly. Sometimes topups take hours to activate. Says plan is expired even after you top it up. Contacting them from the app doesn't do anything, no response...

I bought an eSIM bundle to use in the UAE, but I couldn't activate it because the app didn't work, and the 24/7 WhatsApp support wasn't connecting. I tried using different phone, but the problem persisted with what's up. I reached out to customer care through the "Contact Us" feature, but no one responded. It was a terrible experience. I won't use this service again or recommend it to anyone.
