Lords of Waterdeep is a strategy board game, set in the D&D world of Waterdeep.
Welcome to Waterdeep, the City of Splendors! A city run by a secret society of masked Lords who rule with shady back-door dealings and unmatched political power. In Lords of Waterdeep players will play as one of these masked Lords and will need to recruit adventurers to go out and complete quests for them. The more quests they complete, the more control and influence they have over the city.
Players can expand the city by purchasing buildings that will open up new opportunities within the city walls. Intrigue cards can be used to help the player and may also either help or hinder their fellow Lords in their quest to become the supreme ruler of Waterdeep!
Lords of Waterdeep is a turn-based strategy game played in 8 rounds and can be played against AI or with up to 5 human players. Players take turns assigning their agents to do their bidding, whether it is to recruit new adventurers to their tavern or purchase a new building for the city. Points and resources are gained by completing quests, playing Intrigue cards, constructing new buildings or having other players utilize the buildings you have constructed. At the end of the 8 rounds bonus points are awarded and the player with the most points at the end wins the game.

An Awesome adaptation of the classic boardgame. Well worth the money paid. Game interface is intuitive and simplistic but still brings all you need to your fingertips in 1 or 2 clicks. Play on a Tablet advised phone too small. UPDATE - Have bought both expansions which are well worth the cost and having played with both, Awesome. Adds so much to game. Only 1 niggle... i win 9/10 vs 2x AI on top level. They don't seem to grasp corruption concept. Still playing aug 2025. Awesome still.

I absolutely love this game after only playing it on the real board game once. It's so much fun, but achievement hunting is an absolute nightmare. Half of the achievements just flat won't unlock. Numerous reports of this have been reported on Steam for the last 5 years, amd nothings changed, so I don't expect anything different. But it makes me not want to play anymore if my time is going to continue to be wasted on completing 8 of the same quest types and getting no reward for it...

Not a bad version of the board game. I just finished playing my second game with friends and I don't think we've run into any issues with the game itself and the way it runs. The UI takes some getting used to but it's okay, it's a complex game. The rating drop is because push notifications do not work, email works okay but isn't preferable and happens so much it started getting sent to spam. Also it's a bit annoying to have to log in every time you open the app, why not just do it automatically?

Love the game itself, but this version is very buggy. Played for over a year with an issue where any selection of cards would disappear if you scroll them too fast. Also, everyone is having an issue with the latest version of Android where none of the notifications go through except email. When bugs happen they do not get fixed. There's basically no support from the game maker. The only update I've seen was one where expansions that were formerly included are now behind a pay wall.

Love it, except for recently, it stopped giving me notifications. Can't find the app in the app list unless I turn on Show System Apps...and it says all notifications are blocked, and I can't unblock them. UPDATE: I uninstalled and reinstalled, and now it won't show up in the notifications list at all! My friends and I play it a LOT, and now I never know when it's my turn. And please...don't tell me to email you, because I don't want to wait months on end. Just fix it!
