COMPETE ON EQUAL TERMS: There are no cards to collect, the drafting mechanism guarantees that players are on an equal footing each game. Your strategy will make the difference, not the size of your card collection.

3rd edit: The mid-2021 UI changes were an improvement over the earlier UI whose legibility I complained about. I do wish the cards still looked like their original format with full text, but can live with this. Earlier, I had a recurring issue where the app kept logging me out of my account between sessions. However, that has not recurred since I posted about it, so I wanted to amend my review to reflect that. Great job!

Was 5/5 stars easy. Then they reworked everything. It added a bunch of cards, changed all the UI. Not as clean, not as easy to view resource types. And no effort to restore the classic version. Disappointing. Such a good app a few months ago. Would have bought the old one, but don't buy this one. Edit: the app designers revised some things on the cards and the UI is much better. Having the board game versions at home, this app still includes a bunch of other cards that I don't love, but 4 stars

It kind of works, but the screen flickers and at one point, the card explanation got stuck in front and I couldn't see any of the cards, so I had to pick two cards blind until it went away.

New update is inferior to old version. It is visually noisy, and as such, confusing. Art style has been unnecessarily changed and not in a superior way. I like the new cards, but they should be made optional like Cities and Leaders. Additions shouldn't negate original game experience. I like the dark theme. Dislike the new final score screen. All in all, some nice additions with the cards, but too many unnecessary visual changes that overcrowd the screen and really made the game harder to play.

Used to be my favorite app. After update, app is completely unplayable on older devices. Can't select old version of game, only new cards and wonders are available. Text and symbols are barely readable compared to old version. Layout is worse. There is nothing at all about this update that is better. From five stars to one star... They took my favorite game and made it terrible. Tried to find an old version of the app. I'd pay another $10 for the old version. Sad. Sad. Sad.
