Decide to buy a cheap tablet and holder rather than rip half my car appart to add Android Auto. A bit fiddly to setup but once working it is great, full AA functionality. The Wi-Fi Launcher app which is free won't load from the play store if you have an up to date phone. You have to download the APK and install that way. You also need to know your way around your phone as there are several permissions that need to be changed in order for the Launcher to work. But once done all is good 👍

It works. But you do have to download a separate wifi launcher due to a recent android update (just found out through a YouTube vid) and it took some tweaking settings which is no biggie but not great for your average user who may be trying to download this to their aftermarket android radio possibly... lol. either way I love it. No other app like it besides screen mirroring but it's super slow comparatively. thank you for the app!

some settings can't be adjusted. it's utilizing a volume adjustment as your vehicle speed increases, which I can't find out how to disable. I never asked for it, nor desired it. it's way too strong, so I'm now constantly adjusting the car volume to offset, which gets annoying map can't be zoomed spotify has extremely limited utility, can't pick anything else other than what's already playing. but it might just be enough to avoid upgrading my head unit, and may be useful on a motorcycle.

It works, sort of. I think maybe I now know why there is no free trial period at all, not even a few days. If you've ever experienced actual Android Auto in a vehicle and that is what you want, prepare to be disappointed. I went straight to SOLO mode to maybe avoid burning up any hotspot data. When I initially got it running and brought up the Android Auto screen, everything looked like AA on my A52 5G. Then I made a call and the phone screen replaced map. That's what I didn't want.

After paying for the app, attempting to set it up, installing another required app on my phone to enable wifi connectivity, it's still buggy and the resolution is wrong. I can't get it to display correctly on the head unit device, a quarter of the screen is unusable, and taps are offset so you have to guess where to tap a button. It is really hard to set up and requires starting a hotspot on my phone each time to make it work. Not worth the hassle, avoid if you can.
