I've been thinking a lot about how to add combat into this game and I think I cracked it. Similar to lumber mills you have to have trees in the square radius. Have troop icons you have to place around towns, castles etc in order to capture it. simple addition I would imagine. you'll have to add a barracks maybe to place inside your own towns but that would make this game perfect.

For some reason I used to like the game, in spite of the constant connectivity issues, absurdly slow late game progression, UI that takes a lot of getting used to, no terraforming, no search,... But the latest changes to progression quests finally gave me a reason to quit. 4000 tavern income? For real? Have you even done the math?

This game is really fun to play, and i have played it for a long time. I would've given this game 5 stars if not for several pesky problems: 1. login fails more than half the time. 2. the deals are popping up nonstop even when you hide them. 3. the price of diamonds does not match their value. They are really expensive and give almost nothing in return. I have to drop another star as the login issue is becoming unbearable. only 1 in 10 attempts works.

Tried the game a second time a year later, and I'm even less impressed. It quickly becomes too time consuming to advance, even with the benefits offered via ads and expensive upgrades. I need to accomplish more than revealing a few dozen tiles each play OR one or two upgrades. It cant be both. At this rate it will take me a week to complete the next quest.
