Finally the moment we were looking for! Thank you for updating the android version so we can place orders too! Only took like a decade to catch up to the Apple version...
This is an updated review. This app used to be really bad especially when compared to the iOS one. Now, the Haiku app on Android lets you put in orders which is BIG. Also, it feels much more responsive (maybe than the iOS). Now, when I'm running a code I can finally open up my foldable, look up critical info of the pt and even put in STAT orders. Good job 👍🏻
Odd aspect of the Android version is a lack of feature parity with the iOS version. Case in point: patient list display option allows you to show patient problem. Android version doesn't allow you to add/edit patient problem list like iOS version does. Wish list: Editable categories (such as change order) that are located at the BOTTOM of the screen, rather than the top. In-app barcode reader for reviewing / adding patients, etc.
Epic should honestly be ashamed of this product. I've been using epic on computers since about 2014 and Haiku on various phones for several years. I realize that many vendors release the latest changes on iOS versions of the app, but epic has been extremely negligent of android users. In this industry it simply isn't acceptable. My iOS counterparts have features and updates 1yr + from when I see the same/similar updates/functionality. (Not every feature though, so they clearly pick and choose)
Our hospital emr went down for 2 hours yesterday. I was with 4 colleagues. 3 of us had android phones, one an iPhone. They wound up doing orders for all of us, rather than seeing patients. It is years past time for Haiku to take android seriously and provide a functional application. It's about time. Only took 4 years.
