Love blue logo app. Hate black logo app. Do NOT want news tailored to me personally. Love the black side menu of headlines. The black app layout is too much like the NYT. Harder to find both surprises and what I want to read.
It's good, but too easy to swipe sideways to another article. I spend too much time swiping back to the article I was trying to read. This is why it only gets 4 stars. I know, first world problem, but it's kind of annoying and should be an easy fix
Search doesn't work well. I can see an article on the web, use words from the title to search, and can't find it in the app. Also the app flips to a new page when I'm in in middle of reading something.
still learning the navigation, finding it bright and intuitive. This "update" has ads and "in app purchases." What? I'm a paying subscriber. I'm uninstalling!
This version is a giant step backwards. Content is missing that shows up on the website, and it's not that it's just not in the browse experience, you also can't search for it. The WP has two things going for it: good content and a great app experience. You've managed to blow up the former with a untested, lacklustre deployment of the latter.
