Second Dawn for the Galaxy

The galaxy has been a peaceful place for many years. After the ruthless Terran–Hegemony War, much effort has been employed by all major spacefaring species to prevent the terrifying events from repeating themselves.

The Galactic Council was formed to enforce precious peace, and it has taken many courageous efforts to prevent the escalation of malicious acts.

Nevertheless, tension and discord are growing among the seven major species and in the Council itself. Old alliances are shattering, and hasty diplomatic treaties are made in secrecy.

A confrontation of the superpowers seems inevitable—only the outcome of the galactic conflict remains to be seen. Which faction will emerge victorious and lead the galaxy under its rule?

The shadows of the great civilizations are about to eclipse the galaxy.

A game of Eclipse Second Dawn places you in control of a vast interstellar civilization, competing for success with its rivals. You will explore new star systems, research technologies, and build mighty spaceships. There are many potential paths to victory, so you need to plan your strategy considering the strengths and weaknesses of your species, while paying attention to the other civilizations' endeavors.

Fantastic! If you already know how to play. Needs private multi-player rooms. So I can play with just friends. The only part that I feel is missing is breaking down the cleanup just a bit. Right now it just does all the math for you for gaining money, spending money, and ganging resources. I would love to see an option where that slows down and actually goes through each step, especially for new players. And an expandable popup for more details on resources. Other than that, it's perfect!

Game works great. I've played several matches. My only complaint is the dice rolls seemed not random. I noticed after a few matches my rolls were always bad so I started to keep track on a spread sheet. Over 10 games and 50+ battles, per dice I had a 1 rolled just under 50%. Sample size may be a bit too small but for something at should be close to 17%, that's dramatic.

The board game is amazing but this app is Mid. The font is so incredibly tiny it is impossible to read on a phone. Also the battles are super confusing. It shoots and then does nothing and no matter what I try and click nothing happens. Is there a way to contact the developers? I think with a few minor tweaks this game app would be awesome.

An extremely underwhelming implementation of a brilliant boardgame. It's an updated version of the first edition game with minimal effort applied. The interface makes playing the game harder than it needs to be and it seems crazy that none of at least mini expansions have been included as optionals never mind the extra four races that have been added in the recent expansions that allow 9 players.

Love the game but clunky ui adaptation and stopped working after the first play session. Have to reinstall each time i want to play. Definitely not worth the price in this state. Edit: Also crashed in game, after upgrading a ship, part piece was stuck over board and quitting to menu and resuming could not load game properly. Sadly refund option is gone. Bad port, do not buy.
