AndSMB - Samba/CIFS/Windows file manager

AndSMB is file manager with SMB (Samba/CIFS) support. It allows connecting to shared folders hosted on Windows or Samba servers over Wifi/3G/4G. It allows managing several connections with authentication. It comes with both a device file manager and a SMB file manager. It provides download and upload support for files and folders. It can synchronize folders. You can rename, delete, get file details, create folders open local and remote files. It comes with share feature for gallery. WINS server, LMHOSTS and broadcast address options are available for name resolution. Browse and transfer intents are available for third party applications. Root access is not needed.

Wonderful app, I've used it for more than a year. Before and after the score keeps being 5.0. The ones who score it with less perhaps didn't know the concepts of samba. I have used it successfully with Linux Ubuntu, Windows 10, and Windows 7

Great app, but i actually installed it because I wanted to mount network shares into android phone folders. Would be great if u could add such option. The best would be if shares would be automaticly mounted if any file browser or other app accesses the local mount target folder.

User name name

Useful, convenient and reliable, but file dates are shown wrong (e.g. 5th January appears as 1st May) because only some foreign date format is used. Fails to save settings between sessions if the app is stored on the SD card rather than in the phone's native memory. Doesn't understand IPv6 addresses, so have to open IPv4 holes in the server's firewall as well as the IPv6 holes opened for existing apps on our VPN.

No DFS support. For an app whose sole purpose is SMB client connections, this is an imperative. Also, no ability to access /Android/data on Android 11. And, no root option.

While the app works, you have to constantly keep the screen on while downloading, or else the download will time out and fail. You can't move the app to the background and do other things while downloading either.
