Developer Description

Quickly and securely view OpenDocument and Microsoft Office files on the go.

You may know LibreOffice from the desktop - the free and open source office suite (successor to OpenOffice) with over 200 million users worldwide. It's secure and respects your privacy, not sharing your documents with anyone else. It's also available for Android in a simplified form, to view documents in these formats:

• Open Document Format (odt, ods, odp, odg)
• Microsoft Office 2007–365 (docx, xlsx and pptx)
• Microsoft Office 97–2003 (doc, xls and ppt)

LibreOffice Viewer also has experimental editing features, which are not yet suited to production use. (Experimental mode can be enabled in the app settings.) The software is open source and made by a worldwide community, so if you'd like to improve the experimental editing support, please join us!

For what this app is, it should be nothing less 4.5 stars and is definitely under rated. It does exactly what it supposed to just like you need it to very well with no ads, no trackers and is completely free and open source!! You really don't get much better than that for what this app is meant to do!! Thank you to the developers!! Appreciate your work very much!!!

desperately needed an ad free document reader after Polaris Office, One Read and WPS all started having 15 to 20 second video ads- some with blaring audio- and X button to close ad doesn't work. Andropen Office also didn't display documents properly, mysteriously omits several of the columns. Libreoffice was finally the solution & ad free. excel & word from older version keeps formatting, displays tables in word, is text searchable. Only won't find or open pdf but using firefox for that.

I had hoped but it appears password protected spreadsheets do not open with Libre on Mobile just like MS. It makes no sense because mobile phones are more secure than desktop software. FYI I already went to the help page and they confirmed password protected spreadsheets are not supported on Mobile. There are tons of feature requests for this!

It's very capable in Linux desktops but here in Android, we have a lot of better options. The app needs a lot of UI improvements for it to be usable.

it needs improvement. I am a screenreader user and when I open any document the text of the document shows in an an inaccessible way which the screenreader doesn't read. make it more accessible for the blind users.
