The app is back to being fully functional. I was finding the daily editions would take ages to load. Deleting and reinstalling the app solved the problem.

The updated app is even more like reading a daily newspaper. It takes a while to learn to use the functionality and it's certainly very clever, but for me it's more than I need. You can still get the functionality of the previous version but you cannot share stories which for me is a drawback that negates the fancy new bits. I like seeing the weather charts etc but could do without the ads..

Not as useable as previously for small screens. I've been subscribing for years,and loved how the editions app worked on my mobile and tablet. Although viewing as the actual paper is nice, switching from that is necessary to read, but means the headlines aren't fully visible. Hoping that will be resolved soon

I've noticed I've stopped using the app since it changed. It looks really nice and I'm sure would be great as a relaxed read on a big tablet. On a phone, though, it's just more effort to navigate through the content and the actual articles aren't as easy to read once you've clicked into them, and so I've stopped bothering. That's a shame as Editions was a nice way to read the news without being sucked into the 24-hour anxiety-scrolling that accompanies most news apps.

Has been changed from a format specifically suitable for mobile phone viewing to one suitable for print newspapers. Articles headlines are so small that I cannot pick out what might be of interest and using zoom and scanning is irritating. It may be ok for chrome books and tablets but not for a phone. There is a list of articles but they in effect create a poorer version of the original app. There was not much wrong with old version.
