I've been relying on Google Calendar for years. It works well, but I got tired of its limitations. Particularly, the look of the calendar widget. I couldn't make the background white or black... or any other color than a sickly light blue. Unfortunately, there aren't many options for creating the aesthetic you want. To make a long story short, I tried several cal/dav apps before I found one that worked perfectly for me. It's this one. Fossify. Thank you.

I really like this app but it is kind of weird about time zones. I set up most of my events, etc, in one time zone but when I traveled to another, it changed all my times. for example, if I set the event to be at 08:00 originally, then traveled, it automatically changed my event to be at 10:00 in the new place. but the event should still be at 08:00. I don't really understand the logic here. I have "allow changing event timezones" set to off.

Nice but not replacement for Jorte. The widget for "calendar events" is huge. I don't want to add a whole other page to my phone screen just for a widget. let me pick a smaller widget for this week, or just the next 3 upcoming events, be it this week or this month. uninstalled but will check back as maybe more features. Lots of other apps from them I will try out.

Good calendar. Echoing another comment, a few things break the app experience: By clicking on an event it should open it TO SEE the event, but it is actually always editing it. When the event notification shows up on lock screen, opening it also always edit it, while the purpose is just to open it and thus stop the notification sound. How come such a lack for a so basic function? This app is incomplety made... Such a shame!
