DS audio allows you to stream music stored on your DiskStation with your Android device wherever an Internet connection is available. Better yet, with the offline mode you can listen to songs stored in the device’s local memory for when no network connection is available. You can browse music by albums, artists, folders or genres, create your own playlists or share them with your friends, and even rate your music! And if you have dedicated stereo speakers at home, DS audio can also become a remote control to stream music to them.

Had issues streaming music over blutooth on Pixel 10. Only the first track had audio. Synology recommended enabling equaliser in the settings which has fixed the problem. Really great app used daily.

Nice app, but here are a few things to make it better: a) add a bookmarking feature so you can use the player for audiobooks and continue from where you left off in a previous session, b) have a default setting where clicking one track from an album doesn't load all the album's tracks to the playlist nor appends it onto the current queue - makes it easier when just browsing songs, c) add disable downloading option if you only want to stream, and d) add a few visualisations for casting to to TV

This app is very much in need of an overhaul as it barely gets the job done, and often throws "wait for app to respond" on the latest Android. We need to be able to download an album from search results and not just an album list. Meanwhile the app often fails to download the entire album, and later deleting a downloaded album requires deleting it track by track. Also, it would be helpful to browse by a directory like in DS File.

This app still forgets where it is in my playlist when I use it with Android Auto. It also loses connection occasionally and I have to force quit or restart my phone to make it work again. This is dangerous because I'm driving while dealing with these issues. Please fix this app Synology. It's been almost a year since the last update, just ridiculous. I've switched to Plex now and it's pretty great. I'm not sure why I suffered for so long with this app.

Audio pop and crackles Just got a new pixel. Has Android 14. Maybe it's not fully compatable with this version yet. When playing audio, streaming or downloaded to device, there are clear audible pops and crackles. Sounds almost like a record being played. I'm guessing it's a buffering issue and you are hearing slight delays when playing. Updated: this app sux. Constant buffering every 10-15 seconds. Audio pauses for a split second. Fix this please!
